Privacy Statement
In accordance with the Guidelines for Federal and ACT Government World Wide Websites issued by the Australian Privacy Commissioner, the SSAT provides the following privacy statements.
Site Visit Data
This is a cookie-free site operated for the SSAT by an external service provider.
Whenever the web site is visited, the user's web browser provides the machine's identity (its IP address) to the web server, so that the server can address the reply to the correct machine. Details of the browser type and operating system are also obtained. This information does not identify the user personally and the user remains anonymous. Analysis of traffic and computer system patterns can assist in the improvement of the SSAT site.
No attempt will be made to identify users or their browsing activities except in the unlikely event of an investigation of abuse or a security incident. The data will not be disclosed to any external agencies except in the case where a law enforcement agency may exercise a warrant to inspect the logs of the service provider.

The staff who operate the SSAT site are subject to the Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988.
